First Term Of 2020

A quick update on classes and terms.

Our current term ends on Thursday 19th December, we will then break for 2 weeks for the Christmas holidays.

The new term will start on Monday 6th January 2020 and it will be a 6 week term costing £45 for Matwork class (£39 for concessions) & £51 for Sticks.

If  I could please request all payments for the new term be in by the end of this term (19th December), as it gets very busy in January. Many thanks.


Back Pain Management

Pilates & Ankylosing Spondylitis

We’ve recently seen an article discussing research looking into Pilates for people with Ankylosing Spondylitis.

AS is a long-term condition in which the spine and other areas of the body become inflamed. It causes chronic pain and lifelong physical disability.

Whilst treatment is available to relieve the symptoms and help prevent or delay its progression, Pilates has never really been studied with a connection to helping AS, until now.

The one year study delivered findings that “indicate considerable improvements in all outcome measures in response to the intervention, confirming that exercises based on the Pilates method could be a useful component of treatment for AS patients.”

“The improvements in physical and functional capacity noted in the AS patients completing this pilot study confirm that Pilates training is a therapeutic option that warrants further investigation.”

We think this is great news and hopefully further studies with Pilates will help those suffering with AS.

November/December Term

We can’t believe how fast the year is flying by. This term ends Saturday 26th October, then we break for half term.

(Our beginners workshop is on Sunday October 27th – please invite your friends!)

We restart Monday 4th November for our last 7 week term of the year, 6 weeks for Saturdays.

Matwork £52.50 (Saturday £45.00). Concessions £45.50  (Saturday £39.00) and Sticks £51.00.

Inclusive Fitness
