Rosacea’s key symptoms include flushing, facial redness and itchy skin. Exercise can trigger this, simply because it increases your core temperature.

80 percent of people surveyed by the National Rosacea Society said exercise aggravated theirs, especially if it was high-intensity aerobic exercise.

Exercise is important so cutting it out isn’t recommended. The National Rosacea Society recommend sufferers do low- to medium-intensity exercise – like Pilates – instead, to retain the health benefits of exercise.

Pilates also lowers stress which is another trigger of Rosacea.
