The Olympics have come to an end & what an Olympics they were! Records were smashed as the world watched new blood make names for themselves & the greats become even greater. Well done to Team GB, fabulous achievements!
The time now turns to recovery. Pilates is not only one of the fastest growing exercises in the world, it can also help recovery, injury rehabilitation & future injury prevention.
Muscular imbalances in our bodies are one of the main reasons for injury & what causes those imbalances includes posture, how we walk, bend over, sit, lie down, or work out – pretty much the way we move. Pilates promotes an even musculature throughout the body by the strengthening the core. This can aid recovery. Many athletes from many different sports have added Pilates into their exercise schedule, is it time you did as well?
