Flexibility Benefits

There are so many benefits of being flexible. Your aids you to have a good posture, it prevents illness and injury and it supports everything things like bending to lift the shopping, your functional movements if you will. Athletic performance can be improved and flexibility training also aids your mind/body connection. A gentle, 30-second stretch gives you time to focus on your body and feel everything that is going on. Listen to your body, focus on that breathing and feel every muscle working.

Pilates helps you to become more flexible. Isn’t it about time you added a weekly Pilates class to your schedule? Your lifestyle could be so much better with it!

Pilates & Multiple Sclerosis

There was recently a really interesting article published on Multiple Sclerosis News Today, part one of a series, all about the benefits of Pilates for people with MS.

The writer has MS and talks about his journey with it, including how he found Pilates. Whilst it’s not a cure, he admits that sometimes, during Pilates sessions and afterwards, he feels a little bit free.

“I have found Pilates to be extraordinarily challenging and physically rewarding. I frequently get lost in the pursuit of doing the exercises properly, which creates a very beneficial type of mindfulness, and for those 55 minutes I often forget that I have MS.”
